Dortmund Deathfest 2026
The Dortmund Deathfest is a festival founded by Mike Heinemann and Lukas Swiaczny. On two stages (an outdoor stage with a capacity of 1500 visitors and an indoor stage with a capacity of 500 visitors) we give death metal, thrash metal, grindcore and deathcore bands from all over the world the opportunity to bring their art to the german audience. The Dortmund Deathfest also supports smaller and local bands and offers them a stage.
Prepare for a suffocating wall of heaviness as one of the most uncompromising forces in old school death metal takes over the stage. With their crushing mid-tempo riffs, haunting atmosphere, and unmistakable raw intensity, Asphyx have been a pillar of the underground since the early ’90s. Their sound is pure doom-laden devastation fused with relentless aggression — a sonic battlefield that guarantees raised fists and aching necks. Expect anthems of darkness, delivered with the kind of authenticity only true legends can provide.
