Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica & Induction
On Friday, the 27 October 2023, the Konzertfabrik Z7 in Pratteln hosted Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius with Induction as support act. We were glad to be indoor as low temperatures returned to Switzerland this week.
Induction started the evening with a short setlist. But long enough to heat up the crowd and fill up the place. We were pleased to see after Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius, two of the biggest power metal bands, playing together on the same evening. Each band played for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Sonata Arctica opened with a song by Hans Zimmer as introduction, followed by Closer to an Animal. We heard the most popular song like Tallulah and Fullmoon. The performance was amazing. The concert went by too fast, we would loved to hear more.
The last act of the evening was Stratovarius. I was happy to hear this band for the first time live. I found the live performance to be much better than the studio recording. The Hunting High and Low song at the end was one of my favorites and wrapped up that evening perfectly.
