Knotfest Brasil
KNOTFEST Brasil, a festival that brings together the biggest names in heavy metal around the world, announces the long-awaited line-up for its second edition in the country, with 21 international and national bands. Slipknot will be the main attraction on both nights and will perform a unique show each day: a celebration of the band’s 25th anniversary on October 19th (Saturday) and a special show of the album IOWA (2001) on October 20th (Sunday). Also performing on Saturday (19): Mudvayne; Ammon Amarth; Meshuggah; DragonForce; Orbit Culture; Ratos de Porão; Krisiun; Project46; Eminence and Kryour. In the line-up for Sunday (20), there are: Bad Omens, Till Lindemann; Babymetal; P.O.D.; Poppy; Black Panther; Ego Kill Talent; Korzus; Papangu and The Mönic with Eskröta. In a one-on-one event by 30e in partnership with 5B Artists Management, KNOTFEST Brasil takes place at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo. Tickets are available on the Eventim website.
It is worth noting that some bands in the line-up have never performed in Brazilian territory and are coming for the first time only to KNOTFEST Brasil. They are: Mudvayne; Bad Omens; Till Lindemann and Poppy. In the case of P.O.D. and DragonForce, Brazil will be the only country in South America to host their presentations.
“This edition of KNOTFEST Brasil has a very special meaning for us and for the fans of the event. In addition to being the celebration of Slipknot’s 25th anniversary, I believe we managed to put together a strong line-up with names that the public asked for a lot and who are coming to Brazil for the first time”, says Caio Jacob, Vice President of Global Touring & Festivals at 30e.
Another new feature of this second edition is the return of the KNOTFEST Museum. Those with floor and lower seat tickets will be able to enjoy a new and improved experience in the space, which will provide fans with a true immersion in Slipknot’s 25-year career, with collectibles – from uniforms and personal items to instruments and memorabilia. A true obligatory stop to learn details about the band’s universe.
