Gorgoroth - 33 Year Anniversary Tour 2025
On March 29, 2025, at Pont Rouge in Monthey, a true ritual was performed.
On stage, four names that—each in their own way—embody the fury and dark spirituality of extreme metal: Archaic, Deathrattle, Aeternus, and the indestructible Gorgoroth. A lineup that left no room for respite, delivering a night of sonic violence, commanding stage presence, and a visibly hungry crowd of extreme metal devotees.
Archaic opened the night with a powerful, precise, and uncompromising performance. Their tight rhythmic structures and contagious energy lit the fire from the very first moment.
Deathrattle cranked up the intensity with their massive, groove-laden death metal, pulling the audience into a whirlwind of crushing sound and unrelenting momentum.
With Aeternus, the mood shifted—more atmospheric, more introspective. Their fusion of black- and death metal, rich in tension and depth, created the perfect contrast before the final ritual.
And to close the evening—better yet, to consecrate it—came Gorgoroth, with Hoest, the legendary frontman of Taake, on vocals. His ferocious delivery and dark charisma brought an extra layer of malice to Pont Rouge’s stage. The setlist featured devastating highlights such as “Aneuthanasia”, „Kala Brahman“ and “Katharinas Bortgang”, performed with icy precision and infernal energy.
The intimate layout of the venue only amplified the intensity of the experience. Minimal lights, constant fog, and a tightly packed crowd turned Pont Rouge into a true black cathedral. In true black metal fashion, the performance was uncompromising, brutal, and unforgettable. For fans of the genre, this was more than a concert — it was a dark ritual, and Pont Rouge became its cathedral.
