Paganfest
The Paganfest in Lausanne, held on January 30, 2025, at the Salle Métropole, delivered a memorable evening for folk and metal enthusiasts. The festival lineup featured Elvenking, Heidevolk, Týr, Ensiferum and Alestorm, each bringing their unique energy to the stage and offering the audience an engaging and emotional night.
Italian band Elvenking opened the evening with their power metal, delivering a performance that won over the initially shy crowd, who were quickly swept away by their overwhelming energy. Their stage presence heated up the atmosphere, setting the stage for the following bands. Heidevolk infused the venue with their epic folk metal power, enchanting the audience with traditional melodies and a commanding stage presence.
Next, Týr captivated the crowd with their fusion of Viking and progressive influences, bringing a fresh and dynamic energy to the stage. Ensiferum followed, elevating the audience’s excitement with their mix of epic melodies and powerful riffs.
Finally, Alestorm closed the night with their unmistakable folk / pirate power metal, unleashing an explosive energy that left the audience thrilled, engaged, and fully immersed until the last note.
