The Crown is a legendary Swedish death/thrash metal band formed in 1990 under the name Crown of Thorns. Known for their relentless energy and melodic brutality, they’ve delivered landmark albums like Crowned in Terror (2002), Cobra Speed Venom (2018), and Royal Destroyer (2021). In 2024, they released Crown of Thorns—a dynamic and forward-thinking album that embraces new creative ground while honoring their roots. With a revitalized lineup including drummer Mikael Norén and bassist Mattias Rasmussen, The Crown continues to evolve after three decades, blending speed, groove, and melody into their most ambitious material to date.
Defeated Sanity is a German technical death metal band founded in 1993 by Wolfgang Teske and his son Lille Gruber. Known for their brutal sound fused with jazz fusion and progressive death metal influences, they have become a staple of the genre. Their discography includes acclaimed albums like Psalms of the Moribund, Disposal of the Dead / Dharmata, The Sanguinary Impetus, and Chronicles of Lunacy (2024). Despite lineup changes, Gruber remains the driving force behind their complex and punishing sound. With influences from Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, and Cynic, Defeated Sanity continue to push the boundaries of extreme metal.
Analepsy is a slamming brutal death metal band from Lisbon, Portugal, known for blending old-school brutality with modern melodic elements. Formed in 2013 by Ricardo Proença and Marco Martins, the band gained early attention with their single Genetic Mutations (2014) and debut EP Dehumanization by Supremacy (2015). Their acclaimed full-length debut Atrocities from Beyond followed in 2017, along with international recognition, including a performance at Wacken Open Air. Despite lineup changes, the band remained active, collaborating with Kraanium and touring Japan. In 2022, Analepsy released their second album Quiescence, solidifying their position in the global extreme metal scene.
Blood Red Throne is a legendary Norwegian death metal band celebrating over 26 years of crushing brutality. Formed in the late ’90s by guitarist Daniel «Død» Olaisen (ex-Satyricon), the band has remained a relentless force in the genre. Known for their high-energy live performances, they’ve toured globally alongside acts like Dimmu Borgir, Suffocation, and Enslaved, and have appeared at major festivals such as Wacken, Hellfest, and Bloodstock. With a solid lineup including Freddy «the Shred» Bolsø (drums), Ivan «Meathook» Gujic (guitar), Stian «Clammy Hackett» Gundersen (bass), and new vocalist Sindre Wathne Johnsen, their 11th album Nonagon (2024) marks their strongest release yet.
Brutal Sphincter is a Belgian goregrind band formed in 2013, known for their outrageous live shows and sharp political satire. Coining the term “POOlitical”, they fuse brutal music with offbeat humor, standing firmly against all extremism and in support of free speech. Despite their extreme sound, they’ve become a festival favorite across Europe, performing at events like Hellfest, Summer Breeze, Alcatraz, Obscene Extreme, Meh Suff, and Netherlands Deathfest. With a unique blend of groove, gore, and chaos, Brutal Sphincter brings party energy and uncompromising heaviness to every stage.
Excrementory Grindfuckers is a satirical grindcore band from Hanover, Germany, founded in 2001 by Rob and Him as a file-sharing recording project. Known for blending musical talent with absurd humor, they quickly gained attention online, leading to their first live shows in 2003. Since then, they’ve performed over 325 shows, including major festivals like Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze, and toured internationally. While originally known for grindcore cover parodies, their recent albums feature exclusively original material. Brutal yet entertaining, the band fuses chaos with clever commentary, delivering a uniquely polarizing yet beloved presence in the metal scene.
